The demilitarized zone near the west coast of the peninsula is a site called Panmunjom, site of the Joint Security Area, is the only place to connect the north and south. There are several buildings in the north and south of the MDL, and others that are perfectly built over the military demarcation line. The Joint Security Area is the place that held all negotiations since 1953, including statements of solidarity from Korea, which generally have very little, except a slight decrease in the amountTensions. The CDM is in conference rooms and in the middle of the conference table, where North Korea and the United Nations Command (mostly American and Korean), face to face.
